Jeremiah 29:11Amplified Bible (AMP)
11 For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
Dear Woman of God,
Recently one of the members of SWIFT (Spiritual Women in Faith Together) was traveling with her daughter. Her daughter consulted the GPS for the best route to take to their destination. The GPS indicated a route that her daughter disagreed with but they both agreed to try the indicated route. A few miles down the road, her daughter looked in the distance and saw extremely, heavy traffic on the route she wanted to take instead of following the GPS. She turned to her mom and said, " I lost faith in the GPS but now I can see that the GPS knew the best route to take afterall." Her mom replied, "You know there is a spiritual message hidden in this and the message is that when we are on a path that we dislike, disagree with or don't understand we must trust that God knows where the path leads and that it is the right path for us."
We must learn to trust in God's sovereignty despite the difficulty we experience while on our Christian journey and know that He has a plan for us that is good and not evil. We must stay the course and let God be the navigator and ask for strength during our times of discouragement, doubt and our failure to see beyond the natural circumstances that surround us. The next time you are discouraged by the path upon which you are traveling, remind yourself that nothing escapes God. He sees what lies ahead of you and knows your destination.
