Deepen Your Roots
2But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night.
3And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].
Dear Woman of God,
During the winter seasons of our lives it appears that we are barren or empty. We may even face loss, persecution, experience humiliation, hurt or grief. During this season we often feel the most alone. James 1: 2-4 tells us to count it all joy when we are tested and to let patience have its perfect work so that we can grow. Patience is our root stimulator. All of the things that we endure during our winter seasons are strengthening, deepening and spreading the roots of our faith and deepening our relationship with our Heavenly Father. We gain strength for the next difficult season as we pass from one winter season to the next. As the season cycle continues in our lives, we become a tree planted by the rivers of water (UNMOVABLE) because our roots have deepened. We encourage you to recognize that your tough seasons are the times when you are growing your roots! You are being prepared to bear fruit! Focus on God as you endure your tough seasons and don’t give up despite how difficult it may seem. You are not alone because our Heavenly Father will never leave or forsake you!
